Love, G & T: The Little Things

/
While I was having merienda with Giles today at Chevy Burger Antipolo, we were just talking about random things. We wanted to have a quick meal so I can make it to the salon on time and he has to go to his friend's house for Poker night.

Giles: Meron ka hair sa nose.
Me: Really? Should I cut it?
Giles: No. 'Di naman halata.
Me: How about my moustache?
Giles: Wala naman eh. Meron ka beard.

We don't know why we both laughed so hard. We were just laughing for about 5 minutes. When I got to the salon, I was kind of emotional thinking about how the little things can make us both so happy. Giles and I have been together for over a year now and we're still crazy about each other. Sometimes we act more like best friends than lovers.

Bobbi Brown Make Up Lesson

/

Bobbi Brown is one of the make up brands that I truly adore. Their products are really amazing and there's something about it that lifts your self esteem higher. (Ang deep haha) So anyway, I went with my college friend who loves make up as much as I do. We were really excited because we heard that one of Bobbi Brown's best make up artist will be there to give some tips and to show Filipina women how to use Bobbi Brown products in our daily lives. We also got to meet Bobbi Brown's brand coordinator, Sam Sadhwani who was really nice to us. She told us about the event and she was really friendly. :)

Here's Felix Nguyen (the make up artist I mentioned earlier, who also works alongside Bobbi Brown! He's Bobbi Brown's Regional Artistry Manager) He was very nice too! At the event, they served us drinks which I really enjoyed because the drink was color pink (light pink, really) Haha. Anyway, Felix showed us the right ways to take care of your skin, which product is perfect to use on different days and basically he showed us how to look simply beautiful without having to put too much make up on. He also entertained some questions from the audience. :)

There were different types of make up listed and we got to choose one and have a local Bobbi Brown trained make up artists do the make up for us. I chose the lesson about making your eyes pop since I really wanted to know how to maximize my 'chinita' eyes. The artist was very accommodating, actually all of them were very accommodating. :) The lessons were quick and easy to do so it wouldn't take much of your time.

Thereeeeeee! Mirror selfie (also posted this photo on Instagram so make sure to follow me @tesletelandotcom) My make up was simple and very neat (according to my boyfriend)

Here's what Bobbi trained local make up artist, Jerome used on me:

Bronzer shade Natural - used to lightly contour my face
Bronzer Brush - which I must say, felt so nice on my skin :)
Blush in Pink Coral - made me look fresh and kilig
Blush Brush - Note to self: I must get one!
Eye Base shade Medium - He used this as a base to achieve a natural look
All Over shade - Bone
Eye sweep brush
For my lower lid he used Hot Stone/ Mahogany shade
Gel Liner Black ink - I was so happy because he winged the liner and it was actually my first time to see myself with a winged liner! :) I must try it again soon!
Lipstick - Creamy Matte shade Warm Beige

My boyfriend and I celebrates our month-aversary whenever we have time. Since we both got caught up with work this month, we never really go out too much anymore. Usually we just make some snacks at home and hang out with my dog since we only have a few hours before we go to sleep (Yes, we make sure to have at least 5 hours of sleep) But last night my boyfriend and I decided to go out and have dinner to celebrate the 23rd of the month! (Month-aversary :p) I don't even know why it's called month-aversary and if it's really a thing haha. But anyway, we really loved this place in Antipolo where they serve delicious japanese food! :) My boyfriend and I loves to try out different restaus (Still have a few drafts about this) so we truly enjoyed our dinner last night! And I am really happy that we got to spend another wonderful night together.

It was actually our first time to eat in this restaurant and it will definitely not be our last!! :)

I've gone crazy over this crazy maki. If I have to rank it 1-5 and 5 being the highest, hmm I guess it's a 4.5!

Well I honestly forgot the name of this bowl but it's really good!! :)

But this... This is sooo yummy I cannot even comprehend. :D it's a bacon tempura with nutella dip. YUMMMMMM :) Still can't get over this!! Must try!!

We also ordered gyoza and a bowl of japanese fried rice and both did not disappoint me. My boyfriend and I had a bottle of beer to go with our maki. Definitely a splendid night, filled with love and scrumptious food.

Life Lately

/

Hi all! :) So.. I'm back after almost a month of hiatus. I've recently moved in to a new house and I'm still trying to get the hang of everything here but boy, this new house is amazing! :)

I am so excited to update you guys with what's going on with my life so here's a post about my life lately. Hope you guys like it! :) And you can always reach me through my Twitter account @tesletee

My life lately has been about:

Thesis, loads of paper work
Meeting deadlines for my clients (I got some writing jobs!)
Volunteering as a Pre School teacher
Catching up with my friends once in a while
Hanging out with my bestie whenever I have time
Watching Jane the Virgin every night
Trying to cook different meals
Starbucks date with my boyfriend (favorite thing to do!)
Attending make up work shops
Playing with my dog and trying to teach him some tricks (Not successful in this area)
Stress eating
Giving everyone my word that I would start working out but never did
Started to read the newest addition to my Shopaholic series (thanks to my boyfriend for giving me another book!)

I am truly exhausted with everything that's going on with my life right now but I couldn't be any happier and I wouldn't have it any other way. Since my boyfriend is practically busy with his own work too, I usually spend my free time trying to catch up either with the TV shows on E! or sleep. I've been really deprived from sleep these past weeks due to the schedule of my work and the things I need to do. There's so much to do and playing with a lot of kids everyday can be really, reaaaally exhausting. But that, I don't mind at all. I love playing around and teaching kids how to socialize and interact with other people, this doesn't seem like a job to me at all. :) With all these things going on with my life, I decided to take my blog at the back seat for a little while but I am back now and I know things will get even more busy but I'm ready! :)

About the Outfit:

The theme for this outfit is relaxed and easy going. Pretty much a little laid back for my own liking. :)
This was actually the skirt I made for my Fashion Design class but I never really got the chance to wear it. I even forgot that I have this skirt! Found it when I was unpacking my clothes and decided to take a look at it and use it for my come back post. :)

Gold Hairband: Ichigoshoppe | Gold Pouch: WAGW | Skirt: Self Made (thanks to Fashion Institute of the Philippines) | Pointed Mid- Heel in color nude: Stradivarius

Thank you for reading this post!
Have a happy weekend! :)
