No Rules Just Style

Since the time I had my own room, I've been interested with Interior Styling. I was 18 when I found out what my personal style really is and I realized that I wanted everything to synchronize or to match the things that I want. A week ago, I was planning to take up an Interior Styling workshop at a Fashion school in Makati but I didn't push through with it because I realized I have so much on my plate already and taking up another activity would be a bit exhausting. But I've always, always wanted to learn more about Interior Styling, I watch Youtube videos about DIY room design for small spaces and etc. I kept asking my boyfriend if he'd let me re-design the spare room in their house and turn it into a cool bachelor pad type of space. :D I always have so many ideas in my head but of couse, I have to consider his style and his preference. All these I learned from the discussion of Interiors and Lifestyle by MoodBoard Manila and the famous, Cat Arambulo.

And because MoodBoard Manila is a design agency that offers expert space consultancy services they showed us how the character and lifestyle of an individual plays into the overall design of his/her space.

We answered a short quiz to find out our personal style and preference and it was so much fun because we all discovered the kind of interior style that would work best for our personalities. Just like fashion, there's also a certain trend when it comes to interior design and it actually varies with the way you live. A dash of style but also convenient and functional.

Based on the quiz, my personal style is called Scandinavian which consists of mostly muted colors like pastel pink, nude, light gray and white. It's soft, feminine but also classy and minimal. Most accents/designs in color gold or black is perfect with also a hint of pretty pink flowers and a cute white fur rug. That's so me, right? :)

The event was held at La Creperie at Burgos Circle, BGC and we all enjoyed the food. My favorite? The Dulce de Leche crepe. :p
